This black and white photograph was presented as a gift of remembrance from the Setiawan Chinese Sports Association (实兆远中华体育会 shi zhao yuan zhong hua ti yu hui) in Perak to a certain Mr. Xie. It was taken with the mixed basketball team with the Tao Nan School at Armenian Street in Singapore as the background. The photograph was probably taken in 1947, from the reference that it was 35 years after the founding of the republic of China, presumably in 1912. Today, the Peranakan Museum occupies the premises of the Tao Nan School building.
