This lime pot of rounded form has an applied bird head and tail, incised decorations on its body and a tiered lid with lotus bud. It is covered with brown glaze that falls short of the foot. This bird-shaped pot was made likely as a general representation of the numerous bird species in the Khmer kingdom. The presence of limepots in Khmer ware indicates the tradition of chewing betel nut.
