Mustapha Maarof started at Shaw Brothers’ Malay Film Productions before joining the Cathay-Keris family. He starred in such films as ‘Bawang Putih, Bawang Merah’ (1959) and ‘Sri Mersing’ (1961), where he met his wife-to-be, Malay actress Roseyatimah. They were married until her death in 1987.
