'Dang Anom' is a Cathay-Keris film, directed by Hussain Haniff. The film is about a beautiful young woman, Dang Anom, who is engaged to Panglima Malang. The Sultan, however, falls in love with her and forces her to be his concubine. One night, Panglima Malang manages to sneak into the palace to meet Dang Anom. However, they are caught and sentenced to death by the Sultan. In order to save his daughter, Dang Anom’s father, Sang Rajuna Tapa, opens the gate of the palace, allowing the Majapahit soldiers to enter and attack the kingdom. The ensuing chaos gives Dang Anom and Panglima Malang an opportunity to escape.
