Roseyatimah

Roseyatimah was born in Singapore in 1943 to famous parents—cabaret singer Jasni Ahmad and film actress Neng Yatimah. She got her big break in a Shaw Brothers’ film, ‘Pendekar Bujang Lapok’ (1959) when she was 16 years old. Roseyatimah later moved to Cathay-Keris Productions where her career flourished. She became a sought after leading lady and was often paired with another Cathay-Keris’ star, Nordin Ahmad, in films. She was married to Malay actor, Mustapha Maarof, whom she met on the set of ‘Sri Mersing’ (1961). Roseyatimah died of cancer in 1987.
