This kendi has a bulbous spout and an extended neck with a design of birds among foliage. A layer of varnish over the entire vessel has given the decoration an iron-brown colour. An area on the mammiform spout was cleaned with acetone to reveal a blackish-blue decoration. The extended neck was repaired and re-decorated.Kendi is a vessel with a bulbous body, straight neck and a spout set at an angle on the body.
