This postcard shows the building of Katz Brothers Ltd, which was formed in 1865. The brothers started out as shopkeepers before embarking on a wholesale and imports business. In 1902, the store was replaced by a three-storey building called Bonham Building. However, the retail store had to be closed during WWI as they faced problems in getting new stock. The Bonham Building would be demolished in 1970 to make way for the 30-storey United Overseas Bank building.
