This is a book entitled ‘History of Malaya’ by Joginder Singh. Inspired by concerns expressed by history teachers regarding the lack of suitable textbooks to meet the requirements of the new Malayan history syllabus in schools, Joginder Singh wrote this 367-page book to cater mainly to the Cambridge School and Higher School Certificate classes. The book covers periods ranging from the golden age of the Malacca Sultanate to the constitutional steps taken during the post-war period to achieve self-government.
