This hand-spun indigo-dyed tunic has ikat patterns in the warp. Across the centre are bands of complex weave patterns in cotton threads, which are probably hand-dyed as well. This type of tunic was worn by Khamau women of high status and are rarely found today. The Khamau is a sub-group of the Chin, and live in the Rakhine state.
