This very rare bronze helmet was found in the Riau Archipelago region, south of Singapore. The bronze helmet cast in one piece is complete with a neck guard and extensions to protect the ears. Gerald Brousseau Gardner (1884–1964) an early collector of Raffles Museum, mentions in his book, such brass helmets were made in imitation of those used in Europe and India.
