This Malay divination manual is a translation of the work of Abi Ma'shur al-Falaki, a Persian mathematician, astronomer and Islamic philosopher. It was copied by Ahmad Abdul Qadir ibn `Abdul Rahman Patani on the request of Sultan Ma’mun al-Rasyid Perkasa Alam Syah of Deli (r. 1873-1924).This work is based on the day of the week with which the year commences.
