The book contains a compilation of Sun’s writings and his political testament. It also includes sketches of the Guomindang flag and photographs of Sun with his family and fellow party members. It was possibly used as a textbook for the night schools that were staffed by intellectual activists from China. The Special Branch closely monitored publications such as this for subversive content, especially after the Kreta Ayer Incident of 1927.
