This globular container is decorated with a broad band of triangular ‘pucuk rebung’ motif that encircles the upper half of the body. The lower part of the body and the foot are decorated with scrolling floral and foliage motifs. This container may have been used to hold oil that was used for cooking.The most common decorations on Malay brassware tend to be floral and vegetation within geometric or calligraphic motifs. These motifs were either engraved or embossed onto the object.
