A textile print by Eng Tow

Eng Tow is a Singapore artist who is known for her textile paintings or “cloth reliefs”. Her extensive portfolio includes works ranging from textiles, printmaking and papermaking, to sculptures and mixed media installations. Born in Singapore in 1947, Eng received her training in the United Kingdom and is a graduate of the Winchester School of Art in Hampshire and Royal College of Art in London. She is also an arts educator and has taught in various art institutions and universities in the course of her career. In Singapore, Eng has worked on various commissioned pieces for the Land Transport Authority, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the St. Regis Hotel and the Asian Women’s Welfare Association, amongst others.
