Named after Governor Sir John Anderson, Anderson Bridge was built in 1909 to help ease the heavy traffic on Cavenagh Bridge. The government offices at Empress Place, Victoria Memorial Hall, Singapore Cricket Club and the Padang can be seen on the right.
