This is a group photograph taken in front of Kepong Chinese School. The Kepong Chinese School in Kuala Lumpur was established in 1951. The British did not provide educational opportunities for the children of Chinese (and Indian) immigrants. As a result, the Chinese schools in Malaya were financially supported by clan associations, built to exclusively serve the Chinese community.
