This figure of Kubera (God of Wealth) sits on a high-backed double lotus-shaped throne with a parasol overhead. His right foot rests on a purnaghata (pot of overflowing wealth). He holds a lime, a symbol of fertility in his right hand, and the sack of wealth in his left. He is adorned with a crown, earrings, necklace and armbands, and an upavita (sacred cord) worn over the left shoulder. Kubera was incorporated into both Hindu and Buddhist pantheons. Images of this deity appeared in Java with two as well as four arms.
