Spouted vessel

Brassware from the Padang Pariaman and Sungai Puar regions of western Sumatra are well known for their beauty and were widely traded during the heyday of traditional brassware in the Malay world. These ceremonial receptacles are fine examples of this brassware - most of which were bought new by the Raffles Museum curators in the late 19th and early 20th centuries before the trade died out.
