This kettle has a boat-shaped body with the spout in the shape of a bird's head. It is decorated with triangular and floral motifs. Water was poured into the kettle through the aperture located at the handles.Kettles such as this were used to serve drinking water during weddings or festivals. It may have also been used to store water for washing the right hand after eating.
