The inspiration for the design of this dress came from one of Andy Warhol’s artworks shown in his 1962 exhibition, entitled ‘Campbell’s Soup Cans’ which is sometimes referred to as ’32 Campbell’s Soup Cans’. The dress encapsulates the confluence of fashion, consumerism and the Pop Art movement during the 1960s.
