Rolleiflex twin lens reflex camera

Awarded the Grand Prix award at the 1937 Paris World’s Fair for its groundbreaking design, the Rolleiflex was a compact twin-lens reflex medium format camera, as compared to the other bulky models at that time. The camera, of typical German precision, thus quickly became popular among professional photographers around the world. This camera belonged to Sam Kai Faye, who was a former photojournalist of ‘The Straits Times’. He died on assignment in 1972 while covering the Vietnam War for the American ABC television network.
