This kettle is decorated with a snake motif on the spout, bird motif on the false liad and floral motif on the body. Water was poured into the kettle through the aperture located at the handles.Kettles such as this were used to serve drinking water during weddings or festivals. It may have also been used to store water for washing the right hand before and after eating.
