朱有蘭 (Choo U. Lan) was one of the major sale agents importing consumer goods to Singapore from the early 1900s. In this advertisement, a beautiful woman dressed in cheongsam holding a small glass appears as the central image. She is accompanied by a floral background. Images of the product being advertised can be seen at the bottom of the calendar poster. This calendar poster was printed by the Wing Fat Printing Company in Hong Kong, which had a thriving industry in printing. The advertisement calendar posters, also known as yuefenpai, originated from China. It was an important form of visual advertising from the early 1900s.
