Pair of bracelets

This pair of heavy gold bracelets from the Bugis people of south Sulawesi is decorated with applied filigree and granulation. The filigree ornamentation of south Sulawesi is especially delicate and flows in rather loose, meandering leafy scrolls, as seen on this pair of bangles.
