This calligraphic piece contains the phrase: “The art of calligraphy” written in 'jali thulth' script. It was specially written by American Muslim calligrapher, Mohamed Zakariya for the museum. Jali thulth is a larger-sized thulth script which was popularly used by Ottoman calligraphers to design calligraphic compositions and monumental inscriptions for buildings.
