This silver comb from Timor is in the shape of a semicircle with seven raised knobs on the flat part and with delicate filigree-work knobs adorning the comb along the top edge. These combs are sometimes worn in pairs, one at the front of the head and another at the crown. This was probably designed to be worn by women of fine birth or women from an elite community.
