This Baju Melayu with matching Seluar Melayu are made from imported Indian fabric from Gujarat. Said to have been worn during the 1860’s by Sultan Abdul Rahman, the last sovereign of Riau-Lingga, who ruled from 1883 to 1911, for his wedding to Tengku Teh binte Tengku Yahha.
