Indian National Army (INA) broadsheet clipping

This clipping depicts the ceremony of the proclamation of the Azad Hind or Provisional Government of Free India in Singapore in 1943 by Subhas Chandra Bose, the INA leader. This was a pivotal event for the INA as it meant that there was a legitimate political cause to fight for in the context of the INA’s freedom struggle.
