Born in 1932 in Hainan, China, Aw Tee Hong grew up in Malaysia before settling in Singapore. A graduate from Singapore’s Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1954 and the Beijing Central Academy of Arts & Design in 1958, Aw has held over 21 solo art exhibitions around the world since the early 1970s. A second generation Nanyang artist with a great passion for nature, Aw is conversant in oil painting, Chinese ink, watercolour, mural painting and sculpture.
