Born in 1971, Made Sumadiyasa graduated from Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta. Made has held five solo exhibitions in Indonesia and Hong Kong while participating in more than 30 group exhibitions in Italy, Japan and Indonesia. Made’s paintings often have abstract and expressive elements in them. His source of inspiration comes from experiences in life and the emotions that are evoked.Perhaps inspired by a solar eclipse, Made presents a rhythmic and energetic work in “Darkness at Noon” as the colours blend with each other and, at times, contrast against each other.
