Born in 1967, Eng Hwee Chu received her diploma in Fine Art from the Malaysian Institute of Art. She has been participating in art exhibitions since 1986 and has won several awards in Malaysia including the minor prize (painting) in the Salon Malaysia 1991/1992. Her works are characterized by her surrealist figurative approach and are records of events experienced by the artist.
