Most Qur’ans in New Style script are in black ink, but this one is unusual because it has been rendered in gold. The text is not very elegant, tightly written with little spacing. This style of kufic developed with influence from the cursive scripts in the 11th-12th centuries.In the early 10th century, a group of scripts was used for everyday purposes became used for copying the Qur'an. The term 'New Style' was coined for these scripts.
