This is an early Gandhara Buddhist stupa. It is set on a square base with three circular tiers surmounted by a hemispherical dome or anda.This miniature votive stupa is dedicated by a Buddhist monk, nun or lay worshipper to a monastery or a chaitya, worship hall. A stupa is a mound built over the relics of the Buddha and worshippers generally circumambulate it.
