This is a Malaysian 10-cent coin. Bank Negara Malaysia became the sole issuer of currencies in Malaysia on 12 June 1967. It was also the same day when the first series of Malaysian coins were issued, including the 10-cent coin. Coins dated 1967, 1968 and 1969 were all minted at the Royal Mint in London. The other side of the coin depicts the Parliament building, a crescent moon representing Islam, the official religion of the country, and the 13-pointed star representing Malaysia’s 13 states.
