Having lived in the wild for most of their lives, the Orang Asli, or aborigines, are accomplished hunters whose primary hunting tool is the blowpipe, as seen in this postcard. The blowpipe is usually made of bamboo, a plant that is used for a variety of purposes within the tribes, including utensils, animal traps and decorative pieces. The Orang Asli are also sometimes known as the Sakai, a term that was used during the early days of British colonial rule.
