This rectangular tapestry, embroidered in gold and coloured threads on a big red panel has motifs of Eight Immortals representing different condition in life, i.e. poverty, wealth, aristocracy, plebianism, age, youth, masculinity and feminity. Other motifs include flowers, bats and butterfly. It is edged with pale green, lavender silk and blue gauze band. The blue gauze border is embroidered with gold and coloured thread with motifs of flowers, the endless knot (symbol of the Buddhist path, the thread that guides one to happiness) and cash (the symbol of wealth). The panel is decorated with metallic sequins.
