Having lived in the wild for most of their lives, the Orang Asli, or aborigines, are expert hunters whose primary hunting tool is the blowpipe. Here, a group of them are pictured by the Sunkei river. The Orang Asli are equally adept at fishing, using bamboo snoops, spears or harpoons as fishing traps. The aborigines are also sometimes known as the Sakai, a term that was used during the early days of British colonial rule.
